The problem I now have isn't, strictly, a "Mint" problem, or even Linux related. One has my music, the other my photos and archived documents. I have a couple of portable external hard drives (one Toshiba, one Iomega, both USB2 and each 320GB) more or less permanently plugged in. I am running Mint 17.3 XFCE on my Samsung laptop.
